While traditional Poker games are still popular, online players are constantly looking for other variants to play and one of them is 2-7 Triple draw Poker. Although it has been around for a while, it is only recently that it has caught on, and is now a big hit.

Played by a maximum of six players, 2-7 Triple Draw rules are as follows: proceeding in the standard clockwise fashion, each player is handed five hole cards. The betting begins with the small and big blinds, in typical Poker shared game style, and the call, raise or fold follows.

After the betting, 2-7 Triple Draw rules allow players the chance to draw; that is, replace any or all of their five cards (from the number five down). If there are not enough cards, then the others that have been removed, minus the ones from the player in need, will be reshuffled.

Overall, there are three draws, and four betting rounds, alternating. The betting and raising of the stakes follow the pattern of Texas Holdem games.

After the final betting, the winning hand is determined by the lowest possible 2-7 combination. If both are the same, the pot is split. Unlike other lo games 2-7 Triple Draw Poker rules have Aces playing only high, and straights are considered a bad hand.

Therefore A, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is considered a poor hand. The best hand is 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. This is followed by 2, 3, 4, 6 and 7 and so forth.

A variant pf 2-7 Triple draw is Ace to Five. The rules are pretty similar except Aces can be played for low, and straights and flushes are allowed. Here the best hand (called the wheel) is A, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

The uniqueness of 2-7 Triple Draw rules makes for some very unique game play and strategies. Unlike other lo Poker games, the game incorporates the blinds of shared games, and this encourages players to take risks and be more creative with their hands.

The game may appear deceptively simple, but as players learn getting the right hand takes more than luck; it also requires strategy and reading the competition.

It will get a little getting used to, but once you are accustomed to its ways, then you will realize why it is becoming such a favorite online. Once you are comfortable with the game, then you can commence to play for cash, and soon enough you will be winning a lot of the pots.
